The Speech Sound (Phonemie) Wall!
The IPA-aligned 'Phonemies' (Speech Sound Monsters) each have their own 'Spelling Cloud.'
The 'Sound Pics' children learn within a systematic phonics programme are on the outside (the most commonly used), while all others are on the inside. Every time children map a word and discover a new 'Sound Pic,' they check the Spelling Clouds to see if there are many others still to be discovered!

This clip is about 15 years old! The children had been learning phonics with Jolly Phonics. The "train" said "choo choo."
When the children wanted to write about "trick or treating" at Halloween, they spelled it "chrick or chreat."
Ironically, the /t/ grapheme can represent that speech sound (phoneme). However, these programmes don’t facilitate that discovery—just confusion.
So now we SHOW the Code so that there is no confusion!
