The needs of EVERYONE within our neurodiverse community must be nurtured, respected, and celebrated.
After witnessing how much the profession has changed over the last three decades, I feel compelled to speak out against one-size-fits-all 'grapheme-first' programmes. Teaching should celebrate individuality, not conformity, and make sense to all children.
Let's get children excited about word mapping and bring back The Story People!
